Colors of cold

What happend here? During the last cold day's wind and water has turned this grass halm into an ice pin.  The tip of the halm has some movement in it. In the background some dynamics of drifiting ice and water...

IJSselmeer

Today I stopped on the "Afsluitdijk" that seperates the North Sea from the lake "IJsselmeer". Translated, ijs means ice....The hard wind and for us Dutchies artic conditions formed great ice sculptures. This photo was made using my mobile phone while the battery on my DSLR was empty.
